The Wool
The knitting kit includes 100g of Swedish single-ply wool yarn from Yllebruk in Järvsö. The yarn is a mix of Finull and Gotlandsfår which gives the yarn a soft touch and natural colour & texture variations. The sheep are cut twice a year and spun at Ull & Piano wool spinners on Gotland. So, 100% Swedish wool! These mittens are knitted with two strands of the single-ply yarn, making them soft and warm for any winter outings!
Techniques Used in the Into the Woods Pattern
ENG: Techniques used: Casting on, knitting on the round using 5 sock needles, knit & purl, yarn over, twisted stitches, knit 2 together
SWE: Lägg upp maskor, sticka med rundstickor, aviga & räta maskor, omslag, vridna maskor, sticka 2 tillsammans
Washing
When you have knitted the mittens and attached all the threads, wash with a little wool detergent in cool water, rinse and squeeze out of the water. In order for the mitt to get the right shape – use a mitt blocker or shape the mitt by hand when it is wet. Allow to air dry. Information about this can be found in the printed knitting pattern.
