Description
Boxy but fitted shetland wool jumper with a version of the Kärlek pattern. The jumper is slightly felted so soft and warm with cuff edges and bottom edge in a softer merino lambswool. The jumper is hip length with wide sleeves and a wide collar.
The pattern Kärlek:
This pattern was designed by Elmina Fors in the summer of 2023, originally for hand knitted mittens. ‘Kärlek’ is the Swedish word for ‘Love’ and literally translates to something like ‘Play of love’ or ‘Love game’. On the last picture you can see where the inspiration comes from – a smaller version of Kärlekens Ring by Tornedalens Hantverk. This is a ring that in it’s many forms have been used in the very North of Sweden as an engagement ring worn by the woman.
