Description
Short jumper with mock rib at bottom hem, rolling edge at the neck and folded, hand stitched cuffs. Around the neck is a hand stitched chainstitch in a matching ochre yellow. The jumper reaches to the hip, size medium. Elmina is 174 cm tall and a size 12/M/40. Knitted in 100% wool with a placed pattern at the front, sleeves and back.
The pattern Kärlek:
This pattern was designed by Elmina Fors in the summer of 2023, originally for hand knitted mittens. ‘Kärlek’ is the Swedish word for ‘Love’ and literally translates to something like ‘Play of love’ or ‘Love game’. On the last picture you can see where the inspiration comes from – a smaller version of Kärlekens Ring by Tornedalens Hantverk. This is a ring that in it’s many forms have been used in the very North of Sweden as an engagement ring worn by the woman.
