Yarn & Needles
You need 5 x double pointed needles size 3 mm and approximately 50g each of the two main colours and 25g each of the cuff colours.
Yarn: Kampes 2 ply wool yarn
2-ply wool yarn from Kampes is a reliable and classic choice in 100% wool. The yarn is carded, dyed and spun at Kampes Ullspinneri in Mariestad – one of the few Swedish spinning mills still in use. The spinning mill dates back to 1891, so they know exactly what they are doing.
Kampes 2-trådiga ullgarn: 100% new wool, 100 g approx. 300 m. (Sport-weight)
Techniques in the pattern
Cast on with 2 colours, 2 colour stranded knitting, knit & purl stitches, yarn over and twisted stitches, knit 2 together with a left – and right-leaning direction.
Washing / Finishing
When you have knitted the mittens and attached all the threads, wash with a little wool detergent in cool water, rinse and squeeze out of the water. In order for the mitt to get the right shape – use a mitt blocker or shape the mitt by hand when it is wet. Allow to air dry. Information about this can be found in the printed knitting pattern.
