Description
The pattern Nejlika:
This pattern is inspired by a visit to Edsbyn Museum, about 20 minutes away from my new hometown in Hälsingland. “Nejlika” translates to “carnation” in English and is a common flower to use in knitted and woven patterns in the area. In the Museum you can find a few short jackets – the body sewn in woven wool fabric and the sleeves finely knitted and patterned with carnations. This way, an expensive jacket could be repaired when worn out – you just knit new sleeves!
Material: 100% non-mulesing Merino wool
Colour: White/teal, light melange green, accent in burnt orange and hand stitching in a burnt yellow.
Size: 52cm around the head, 22cm edge to top
Washing: Hand wash with liquid detergent for wool. Dry flat and iron with steam on a wool setting. This hat will get more textured after wash, which can be ironed out with steam.
