Kärlek Unisex Box Jumper – M

Description

Kärlek Unisex Jumper is a boxy, straight fit jumper knitted in 100% wool. The main body and sleeves are knitted in Shetland wool, the inside of the folded sleeve cuffs and neck collar in the softer lambswool.

Bottom hem, sleeve cuffs and collar: Wide, folded with hand stitched seam in a matching blue. On the insides are knitted in super soft lambswool – thias makes the jumper soft at the places where it might be close to the body.

The jumper has a straight, boxy fit with sewn in panels at the sides of the body. This also makes the patterning at the front and back of the jumper framed in and more visible. The sides and sleeves are knitted in a dark midnight blue with patterning in a denim blue. The main body is knitted in a slightly lighter dark blue with patterning in denim blue.

The pattern Kärlek:

This pattern was designed by Elmina Fors in the summer of 2023, originally for hand knitted mittens. ‘Kärlek’ is the Swedish word for ‘Love’ and literally translates to something like ‘Play of love’ or ‘Love game’. On the last picture you can see where the inspiration comes from – a smaller version of Kärlekens Ring by Tornedalens Hantverk. This is a ring that in it’s many forms have been used in the very North of Sweden as an engagement ring worn by the woman.
