Description
The pattern Helylle:
Helylle means “all wool” in Swedish, but is also a word used to describe wholesome acts or people. Of course, the pattern is knitted in 100% wool with a tuck stitch / brioche textured pattern. Knitted with two strands of soft, washed lambswool on a chunky gauge, hand operated knitting machine, this shawl is wide and long, almost the size of a blanket.
This winter I wanted a large, warm shawl for those freezing mornings and cold days. The Helylle Shawl is knitted with ribbed, tucked stitches which makes the shawl wide but loose and light at the same time.
Colour: 1 strand cream, 1 strand oats = a light, melange beige
Material: 100% Muelsing-free supersoft lambswool
Size: 50 x 188cm (since the shawl is hand made it could vary a few centimeters either direction.
Washing: Hand wash with liquid detergent for wool. Dry flat and iron with steam on a wool setting. This scarf will get more textured after wash, which can be ironed out with steam.
