Yarn & Needles
You need 5 x sock needles size 5mm and approximately 70g each of the two main colours and a few meters of a contrast colour.

Álafoss Lopi is a 100% wool yarn from Iceland – warm and light for timeless winter mittens.
About Álafoss Lopi: 100% new wool, 100 g (3.5 oz.) approx. 100 m. (109 yd.).
Techniques in the pattern
Ribbed edge, cast off and pick up stitches, 2 colour Fairisle, horisontal slot thumb, spiral top (on top of mitten and thumb).
Washing / Finishing
When you have knitted the mittens and attached all the threads, wash with a little wool detergent in cool water, rinse and squeeze out of the water. In order for the mitt to get the right shape – use a mitt blocker or shape the mitt by hand when it is wet. Allow to air dry. Information about this can be found in the printed knitting pattern.
