Folk Pattern

The Folk Pattern came about after a visit to Dalarnas Museum and the amazing amounts of different hand woven folk ribbons they have on display. These ribbons are usually made with a white or cream main colour and striped in small, repeated patterns. Measuring 1-5cm in width the patterns are as varied as possible, although some main patterns keep reacurring.

With the Folk Pattern I wanted to make a large pattern besed on these ribbons, telling of the hundreds or thousands of these small patterned gems there are!
